David leads economic, market, and investment research, as well as the development of portfolio strategies for Tanglewood Legacy Advisors. He has over 25 years of experience in asset management and portfolio construction, working closely with high-net-worth families to manage their wealth.
Early in his career, David was Manager of Corporate Development for Weatherford International, a prominent, publicly held oilfield services company, where he oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars in company acquisitions. He was also integral to the growth and development of a technology start-up in the energy sector that raised over $35 million in equity capital and grew to over 100 employees.
David holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from Rice University. He also serves on the board of the Houston Area Parkinson’s Society.
