Recently, a friend informed me that while on a Southwest Airlines flight from Houston to Kansas City, the pilot made a sales pitch to the passengers to purchase the SWA credit card, highlighting the advantages, including bonus point eligibility.  This was all while the plane was still in ascent.

My message to the Southwest Airlines CEO:  Your pilot has one job and one job only, and that is to be laser-focused on ensuring that your passengers arrive at their destination safely.  There are no other priorities.  After the recent collisions and near-misses, if you don’t get that, you have no business running an airline.
